Open the remote
- 1In the controller, choose Phone remote in the header.
- 2Scan the QR code with your phone's camera, or copy the link and send it to yourself.
- 3The remote opens straight away. For a room saved to your account, sign in on the phone with the same account first.
What you can do from the phone
- Start and pause the current timer with the big button at the bottom of the screen.
- −1 min and +1 min take time off or add it to the running segment. They are disabled when timings are locked.
- Previous and Next move through the rundown. While a segment is running, Next finishes it and starts the next one.
- Blackout hides the audience display without stopping the clock.
- Quick messages such as “5 min left”, “Wrap up”, “Speak louder” and “Slow down” flash on the display for ten seconds.
- The rundown lists every segment. Tap one to cue it. While the show is running, tap twice to jump to it, so a stray thumb can't cut a speaker off.
Built for show conditions
The digits come from the same server-corrected clock as the stage display, so the phone and the screen always agree. The remote asks the phone to keep its screen on while it is open, and the dot next to the room name shows whether it is connected.
A command that can't reach the server is not saved for later. You see the failure right away and can tap again, so nothing starts unexpectedly when the phone reconnects.
Who can use the link
The remote has the same access rules as the controller. It adds no password or token to the link.
- Rooms saved to your account: only you, signed in, can control the timer. Anyone else who opens the link sees a sign-in prompt.
- Instant rooms without an account: anyone with the link can control the timer, just like the controller link. Share it only with your crew.
Keep the link private
Treat the remote link like the controller link. If it ends up somewhere public, save the room to your account so that only you can control it.
